Dr Ip is a Consultant Physician who has trained in specialty fields of both Geriatric Medicine and Neurology.
He graduated in Medicine from the University of Sydney in 1997 and undertook advanced specialist training in Geriatric Medicine at Westmead Hospital. He obtained the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2004.
Dr Ip subsequently went on to train in Neurology at St George, Concord and Royal Prince Alfred Hospitals. His training included a 12-month fellowship in Stroke Medicine at the Stroke Unit of Westmead Hospital, Sydney and attained his specialist qualifications in that specialty in 2006.
Dr Ip currently holds a position of Staff Specialist in Neurology at the SAN Hospital and Conjoint Lecturer at the St George Clinical School of the University of NSW. In 2007, he was appointed as a Staff Geriatrician at Westmead and Blacktown-Mt Druitt Hospitals and a Lecturer of the Western Clinical School of the University of Sydney.
