Dr Parvathi Menon is a Staff Specialist Neurologist at Westmead and Auburn Hospitals with experience in the management of a variety of neurological disorders. Her special interests are in neurophysiology and neuromuscular disorders.
She completed training in clinical neurophysiology at Westmead Hospital and subsequently a PhD from the University of Sydney under the supervision of A/Professor Steve Vucic and Professor Matthew Kiernan with research undertaken into the pathogenesis of motor neuron disease with insights into "The Role of the Corticomotorneuron in the Pathogenesis of ALS". She was awarded the ANZAN Jim Lance award in 2012 and the best presentation award at the ANZAN Neurophysiology Workshop 2013 for her research presentations. She remains engaged in research into a variety of neuromuscular disorders.
