Academic Appointments

Dr Kris Ma completed his primary medical degree in 2002 at the University of New South Wales. He underwent and completed his haematology training at Royal North Shore and Westmead Hospitals and qualifies as a physician and pathologist in Haematology.

He pursued and completed a PhD on adoptive cellular immunotherapy at the University of Sydney in 2016. He subsequently undertook a clinical fellowship in blood and marrow transplantation at St Vincent's Hospital in 2017. He has previously worked as a consultant haematologist at Tamworth, Dubbo, Toowomba, Gosford and St Vincent's (Sydney) Hospitals, and is currently a staff haematologist at Westmead Hospital.

Dr Ma has presented at a number of national and international haematology conferences and has published multiple first-author articles in reputable peer-reviewed medical journals. He is a clinical senior lecturer at the University of Sydney, with responbilities including teaching medical students, supervising junior medical officers and vocational trainees.

Dr Ma is passionate in providing the most up to date, evidence-based medical care, and is a firm believer in holistic patient-focus approach, and strives to treat his patient as an individual rather than a condition.
