Academic Appointments
Dr Chua came to Australia at the age of sixteen under the Australian Federal Government Scholarship. He finished his medical degree at University of Sydney in 1994 under the same scholarship.He spent some time in general practice before embarking on his Obstetrics and Gynaecology career. He furthered his training as a Fellow in Advanced Laparoscopic Pelvic Surgery.
Dr Chua's main interest is in Foetal Maternal Medicine and Laparoscopic Gynaecological Surgery. He has presented his research at national and international scientific conferences, including the Second Conference for the International Society for Perinatal Medicine (ISPO) in 2002, Australian Gynaecological Endoscopic Society (AGES) Annual Scientific Conference in 2005.
He was awarded The Crown Street Medal for Best Research paper in the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists Combine NSW/QLD Annual Scientific Conference in 2002. His other academic achievements included Walter Noel Gillies Sch
