Academic Appointments
Dr French is a breast, endocrine and general surgeon at Westmead hospital. He is the Acting Director of the Breast Treatment Clinic for the New South Wales Breast Cancer Institute, where he is involved with both the day-to-day running of the clinic as well as guiding the future direction of the clinic.Dr French is a member of the breast section of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and of General Surgeons Australia.
As well as attending many surgical meetings a year Dr French has been an invited speaker at multiple meetings and seminars. He is active in clinical research and has contributed to numerous breast cancer related papers. Currently he is a reviewer for both The Breast and ANZ Journal of surgery.
Dr French has a particular interest in the application of new technologies to clinical surgical practice. Other areas of concentration include thyroid and parathyroid disease. He also has an interest in laparoscopic surgery.
